This Privacy Policy explains how Fight Knight, operated by Queensland Medieval Combat (Tyr’s Warriors Branch) Inc., collects, uses, stores and discloses personal information through fightknight.info and Fight Knight events.

Information we collect
- Registration details such as first and last name, public display name, email address, club, competition division, categories, volunteer roles and event selections.
- Matchmaking and safety details when relevant, including age, height, current weight, weight class, emergency-contact details and information supplied to assess eligibility.
- Fighter photographs when photo collection is enabled for the event.
- Organiser decisions, team assignments, bout pairings, email history and evidence of accepted consent wording.
- Newsletter details and messages sent to the organisers.
- Technical information such as IP address, browser information, cookies, security records and website analytics.
A FightKnight.info website account is not required to submit an event registration.
Why we use this information
- To administer registrations and communicate with fighters and volunteers.
- To assess eligibility, allocate teams, arrange bouts and prepare event run sheets.
- To support event safety, insurance, incident response and emergency communication.
- To prevent spam, fraud and misuse of the website.
- To operate, maintain and improve the website and event services.
- To send newsletters where a person has chosen to subscribe.
Information shown publicly
After organiser approval, public event pages may show a fighter’s organiser-controlled display name, club, Buhurt team and published duel or Outrance pairing. Competition categories do not need to be displayed publicly.
When fight-card generation is enabled and the required consent has been confirmed, an authorised fighter photograph and selected match details may be used on a fight card prepared for manual publication. Age, height, current weight and weight class are used only where relevant and consented to. Legal names, email addresses, gender information, emergency contacts, private notes and consent records are not displayed on public pages or fight-card graphics.
How information is shared
Information is accessible only to organisers and service providers who need it for the purposes above. Relevant details may be shared with event officials, marshals, medical or emergency personnel, insurers or sporting authorities where necessary for event administration, safety or a legal requirement.
The website uses third-party services that may process limited information, including website hosting and email delivery, Cloudflare Turnstile for security, Humanitix for ticketing, and analytics and cookie-consent tools. Their own privacy terms apply when you use those services. We do not sell fighter or volunteer information.
Storage and security
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect registration information. The event system encrypts designated sensitive registration fields and fighter photographs at rest, restricts full records to authorised organisers, and uses event passcodes and anti-spam controls. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Photographs can contain embedded location or device information. Fighters should remove unnecessary metadata before uploading where possible.
Retention
Registration, consent and event-administration records are retained only for as long as reasonably needed for the event, safety, insurance, dispute management and applicable record-keeping obligations. Copies may remain temporarily in protected backups. Information that is no longer required should be securely deleted or de-identified.
Your choices and requests
You may ask to access or correct your information, withdraw optional photo or publicity consent, unsubscribe from newsletters, or request deletion where the information is no longer required to be retained. Contact info@fightknight.info. Withdrawing optional publicity consent does not affect the lawfulness of earlier authorised use.
Cookies, analytics and embedded content
The website uses necessary cookies for security, login and form operation. Optional analytics or marketing cookies are managed through the site’s consent controls. Embedded content, including ticketing or media services, may behave as though you visited the provider directly.
Children and young people
A parent or guardian should contact the organiser before personal information is submitted for a person under 18. Event-entry age and supervision requirements also apply.
