Participant policies for Fight Knight

  1. Code of Conduct

1.1 Behavioural Expectations:

  • All participants, including fighters, staff, and volunteers, are expected to maintain professionalism, respect, and sportsmanship at all times.
  • Abusive language, harassment, discrimination, or any form of misconduct will not be tolerated.

1.2 Disciplinary Actions:

  • Violations of the code of conduct may result in disciplinary actions, including warnings, suspension, or permanent ban from future events.
  1. Medical Clearance Policy:

2.1 Pre-Event Medical Examination:

  • It is advised that all fighters should undergo a comprehensive medical examination and obtain clearance from a licensed physician no more than 30 days before the event.
  • Participants should have medical clearance, including assessments for cardiovascular health, neurological status, and general physical fitness.

2.2 Injury Disclosure:

  • Fighters are required to disclose any recent injuries or medical conditions that may affect their ability to compete safely.

  

  1. Anti-Doping Policy (If required):

3.1 Prohibited Substances:

  • The use of performance-enhancing drugs and substances is strictly prohibited.
  • The World Anti-Doping Code International Standard Prohibited List defines the prohibited substances.
  • Where testing applies, fighters must comply with anti-doping regulations set by the relevant sporting authorities.
  • Where required, drug testing may be conducted before, during or after the event.
  • Positive test results will result in disqualification, forfeiture of prizes, and potential suspension or ban from future events.
  1. Training and Qualification Requirements:

4.1 Fighter Training and Qualifications:

  • All fighters must be registered with the AMCF and be part of an AMCF-registered club.
  • Fighters must meet minimum training requirements, including proficiency in basic techniques, conditioning, and experience in sparring.
  • The captain of the participant’s club must verify the fighter. Final approval remains at the discretion of the event organisers.
  • Organisers may approve exceptions to section 4, such as for an overseas fighter.

4.2 Marshal (Referee) Training:

  • Marshals must complete training on rules under a relevant sporting authority for example, Buhurt International or another recognised regulatory body, or have approval from an attending qualified marshal for a single event. 
  • All marshals will be advised of safety protocols and emergency procedures by event organisers.
  • Event organisers will ensure all staff are fit for the role and have been advised of safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  1. Registration and Weigh-In Procedures:

5.1 Registration Process:   

  • Registration must be completed before the day of the event. 
  • Fighters must register in advance, providing necessary documentation such as ID, medical clearance (if required), and proof of training where required. 

5.2 Weigh-In Process (If required):   

  • Official weigh-ins will take place the day before the event, with fighters required to meet their designated weight class.
  • A tolerance margin may be provided for weight discrepancies, as specified by event rules.

5.3 Post-Weigh-In Protocol (If required):

  • Fighters should be given time to rehydrate and recover after weigh-ins, with guidelines in place to ensure fair competition.
  1. Fight Scheduling and Matchmaking Policy:

6.1 Matchmaking Criteria:

  • Event organisers will be responsible for all matchmaking.
  • Fighters will be matched based on weight class, experience, and skill level to ensure fair and competitive bouts.

6.2 Fight Card Scheduling:

  • The fight card will be scheduled in advance, with allowances for necessary adjustments due to unforeseen circumstances such as injuries or cancellations.
  • Event organisers’ discretion on what types, times, and rules are enforced on individual group and duel fights depending on what the event requires. 
  1. Participant Conduct During the Event:

7.1 Arrival and Check-In:

  • Fighters and support personnel must arrive at the venue by the designated time and check in with event staff.
  • Check-in times will be made available to fighters and support in advance. 

7.2 Behaviour in the Venue:

  • Participants are expected to respect the venue, follow instructions from event staff, and adhere to venue rules.

7.3 Fighter Conduct

  • Fighters must follow Fight Knight rules during display fights and act respectfully towards all participants, marshals, support personnel, staff and spectators.

7.4  Interacting with Media:

  • Fighters should handle media interactions professionally, adhering to guidelines set by the event organisers.
  1. Post-Fight Procedures:

8.1 Medical Examination:

  • Fighters may undergo a post-fight medical examination to assess any injuries sustained during the bout.

8.2 Incident Reporting:

  • Any incidents, injuries, or rule violations must be reported immediately to event officials.
  • Event officials must record incidents, injuries and rule violations in writing and store those records securely so they can be referenced when required.

8.3 Debriefing and Feedback:

  • Participants may be asked to participate in a debriefing session to provide feedback on the event and suggest improvements.
  1. Confidentiality and Privacy:

9.1 Medical Information:

  • Personal and medical information of participants must be kept confidential and only shared with authorised personnel.

9.2 Data Protection:

  • Ensure compliance with data protection laws regarding the handling and storage of participants’ information.
  1. Compliance and Enforcement:

10.1 Adherence to Policies:

  • All participants must adhere to these policies and procedures as a condition of participation in Fight Knight events.

10.2 Penalties for Non-Compliance: 

  • Non-compliance may result in penalties including warnings, fines, suspension, or permanent exclusion from future events.
